

Francis Earl Foster, 87, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2012. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24th at McGilley State Line Chapel from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be a private Graveside Service at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge blvd., Kansas City, MO the following morning.
Fran, as he was known, was born January 22, 1924 in Kansas City, MO to Elizabeth and Frederick Foster. He served in WWII; attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and was employed by W.R. Grace and was transferred to Florida in 1974 where he has resided with his wife of 33 years, Marcia. He loved the game of tennis and relaxing with a good book.
Fran was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert (Bobby) Foster; his grandson, Blair Peterman. He is survived by his loving wife, Marcia; his daughters, Kathryn Rickert (Ken), Nancy Manion (Phil), Barbara Underwood (Pat); and son, James Foster (Louise). He is also survived by two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
