Francis Eugene "Gene" Tankersley, of Kansas City, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Visitation at 11AM Saturday, August 8, at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services following at 12PM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Francis Eugene married Marjorie Louise July 3, 1941. Gene served in the U.S. Navy in both the Pacific and European arenas during World War II.
Together, Gene and Marjorie had four children, Ronald Eugene, David Allen, Cynthia Marie and Michael Keith; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. He has one surviving older brother, James Rosco (Rocky) Tankersley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, parents, Raymond and Ruby Tankersley, and infant brother, Larry Tankersley. He loved each of his children uniquely and deeply and was a loving and caring grandfather.
