Frank was born in Rockland Lake, New York on October 19,1929 to Edward William and Claire (Gubser) Jansky.
The family moved to Congers, New York in 1935 where Frank attended Grammar and High School graduating in June of 1947. He joined the U.S. Air Force and after completing basic training in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Radar Training school in Biloxi, Mississippi and in 1948 was sent overseas to serve in Great Britain at Burtonwood Air Force Base in Warrington, Lancashire and participated in the Berlin Air Lift doing major overhauls of the planes.
While there he met Rosalind Cone and after several years were married on February 24,1951. He and his wife returned to the U.S. in December of 1951. He was discharged from the service soon after.
He became employed by Wilcox and Gibbs Sewing Machine Company as a Machinist and advanced to Plant Superintendent for 3 years before they were sold to a European company. In March of 1963 he became employed by Grant Industries a Metal Fabricating company where he held positions of Sales Representative, Architectural Representative and Cact Accountant over a 28 year period. In 1990, the firm moved 3 complete factories to Harrisonville, Missouri for consolidation. In May of 1991, he was "downsized" and retired here in Kansas City to care for his handicapped wife, Rosalind who passed away on July 4, 2002.
In July of 2004, Frank was hired by Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home as a Driver. Two days after being hired, Frank was declared "deceased" by the Social Security Administration, but he was not informed of his demise for 6 more months when they breached his bank account and removed all the money. It took him 3 months to correct the error and to be restored to the living again.
Frank has been involved in Volunteering and served the North and South LIFT (Living Information for Today) groups a Senior widows and widowers group to assist persons who have lost their mates to cope with their situation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind Anne Jansky on July 4, 2002 and a brother, Edward Jansky Jr.
He is survived by his sister, Marion Lynch of New Paltz, New York. Two nieces, Maureen Lynch of Stony Point, New York and Patricia McRory of New York City. Two nephews and their wives, Bernard and Linda Lynch of Haverstraw, New York and Richard and Karen Lynch of Valley Cottage, New York and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Irene Jansky of Garnerville, New York.
Frank had a number of near and dear friends who have helped him since he came to Kansas City and whom he considers as Family.
A Memorial Visitation will take place from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, March 30, 2019 followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
