

Franklin D. Christian, 81 of Belton, MO passed away October 31, 2014 at his home in Belton, MO. We welcome you to join in the celebration of Frank's life on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home located at 10507 Holmes, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be between 6 P.M.-7P.M. And a memorial service will follow at 7:00P.M.
Frank was born on December, 29, 1932 in Long Lane, MO to Elizabeth (Legan) and John Christian. Frank was a carpenter by trade who could build anything and repair anything. After retiring from the Carpenters Union, he used his skill and built his home in Belton, MO in the early 1980’s It was then that he was able to realize his passion for farming by raising cattle. Frank also enjoyed trail riding and participating in local parades with his horse Grey, pulling his old time buggy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 12 siblings. Frank is survived by his two children, daughter, Deborah Knold and husband Ron of Lee’s Summit, MO and son, K.D. Christian and wife Suzy of Stilwell, KS; and two step-children, Cindy Jobes of Raymore, MO, and Richard Showalter and wife Kelly. He was a fun-loving Grandpa to his six grandchildren Jennifer Pabst, Christy Eggers, Frank Christian, Sam Christian, Travis Jobes and Jordan Jobes; and eight great-grandchildren: Alec and Aerial Eggers, Jacob, Justus, Jadon, Danielle, Liberty and Olivia Pabst.
