

Frank F. Foglesong, II, 72, passed away September 16, 2015 in Independence, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, with funeral services at 11:00 am on Monday, September 21 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64131. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Shrank Ct., Independence, Missouri, 64055 or to Animals Best Friend, 2302 Chrysler Avenue, Independence, Missouri 64052.
Frank was born August 17, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to George and Florence Foglesong. He graduated from Paseo High School in 1961 where he was a state-record holding pole-vaulter. He was a member of the Boy Scout Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Frank followed in his father’s footsteps as a 50-year member of the Carpenters’ Local #61. His hobbies included motorcycles, aviation, and automobiles. Frank was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 91 and the Save-A-Connie organization. He found great joy helping others and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his beloved friend and life companion of 28 years; Norma K. Willard; daughter, Karen L. Foglesong, Kansas City, Missouri; sons, Franklin F. Foglesong (Trip), Independence, Missouri, Trenton D. Foglesong and wife Ginger, Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Shelbie, Olivia, and Jamison; sister Georgia Boone-Baxter and husband Robert, Kansas City, Missouri; and half-sisters, Phyllis A. Braet, Pittsburgh, Kansas and Norma E. Flory, Houston, Texas.
