Frederick, “Freddie”, Lear Pearson (75) went home to be with his Jesus on October 9,
2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick S. Pearson, mother, M.Marie Pearson,
sister and brother in law Susan F. & Gary L. Houser. He leaves behind his niece LeeAnna Ross

Freddie accepted Christ at a young age and was passionate about his church. He was a
charming, affectionate and loving gentleman to all he met. Having never met a stranger he was
passionate about all things related to the KC Royals, KC Chiefs, Wheel of Fortune, bowling, boy
scouts and Special Olympics. He felt called to support the MS walk for 14 years raising a total
of over $1,600 proudly for his sister and her lifelong battle with MS! Fred was a long time
resident in Higginsville, MO where he attended school and became a proud employee at the
state workshop for people with disabilities. He impacted lives in Richmond, MO and Ray County
Services before moving closer to his family in the Kansas City area as a senior adult. In his
senior years, Freddie lived and was well loved by First Presbyterian Church of Independence,
employees of Community Choice, Imagine That! KC, KC Parks & Rec bowling, and local Boy
Scout troop for people with disabilities. Freddie cared for his roommates “Johnny” or “Papa”
and “John, John”. He was passionately called “grandpa” by staff while he learned needlework,
pottery, painting, and drawing skills at Imagine That!KC. Known for his quick witty humor, name
rhyming, smile and social nature Freddie touched many and will not be forgotten!
