Frederika "Freddie" Grasselli Forrester was born on October 23, 1919, in Eureka, Kansas, to Louise Carter Wynn and Eugene Grasselli. She was born several minutes after her twin brother, Albert, and together they joined sisters Frances Josephine and Matilda Eugene.
She attended Milton Moore, Benjamin Harrison, and Northeast Junior before graduating Northeast High School in 1937. She loved the Northeast area of Kansas City.
While at Northeast High School, she met the love of her life, Donald Forrester, and they married in 1939. Together, they had four children.
Freddie worked in numerous capacities at nearly all of the schools in the Raytown Consolidated School District before retiring in 1980.
Throughout her life, Freddie was an active member at St. Mary's Episcopal Church and served countless meals at the church's kitchen. She was a long-time volunteer with the Auxiliary of St. Luke's Hospital.
In her spare time, Freddie loved spending time outdoors on picnics, camping trips, and in her beautiful backyard in Eastwood Hills. She read voraciously, appreciated music, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She transferred her love of life and positive attitude to all that knew her and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband Don, daughter Donna (Ingram). She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Smallridge), Scott, and Andrew; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gifts may be made in her memory to the St. Luke's Foundation.
