Fredrick Leroy DuRossette, 60, passed away March 20, 2023 after a two year battle with lung cancer. Though his diagnosis was terminal, Fred never gave up hope and never stopped fighting to have more time with his family.
Fred was born July 31, 1962 to Dallas DuRossette and Paula Martin in Independence, Missouri. He graduated from William Chrisman High School. He worked the assembly line at Ford Motor Company for many years before a work related injury forced him into early disability retirement. He received a diploma from Northwest Iowa School of Taxidermy and became a skilled Taxidermist. He was an avid outdoorsman and his most beloved memories were of times spent in the country on his land, in the woods hunting with his sons and grandson, or out in the water on his boat.
Fred is survived by his sisters Leslie Richardson and Paula Jones; daughters Monica DuRossette and Janelle DuRossette; sons Dalton DuRossette and Jordan Hall; 10 grandchildren; and his life-long friend “brother from another mother” as they would say, Ricky Beehee. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
There will be a viewing for anyone who would like to say a final goodbye at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd Kansas City, Missouri Saturday April 1st, 2023 from 3-4 pm.
