Gale graduated from Raytown High School in 1965 and began his 50 plus year career in the vending industry at the age of 17 with Vendo of KC and was still working part time for Superior Vendall when the pandemic hit in 2020 and he became ill. His peers called him “The Legend” because there was not one vending machine he could not fix. During his early years, he was with the National Guard for six years. Gale had many personal loves, his first being his wife, Pam, as they were high school sweethearts and soul mates. He loved his yard and digging in the dirt and making things grow. He loved playing golf and said that was his “church” on Sundays. He loved his personal cars and had many through the years; his last one being a black 2013 Camaro convertible which so suited him. His biggest love and idol (maybe even more than Pam) was the King, Elvis Presley and Gale was known to others as “Gelvis” and his man cave was a shrine to the King.
Gale’s Celebration of Life will be at the Elks Lodge in Blue Springs on Sunday, September 11 from 1-4 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Action, Inc., 4010 S Lynn Court, Independence, MO 64055.
