Gary D. Adams, 77, of Raytown, MO passed away on May 31, 2016. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 4th at 9 a.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home with services starting at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Gary was born on July 14, 1938 in St. Joseph, MO to Lester T. Adams and Mary Mihelic Adams. He graduated from De La Salle Military Academy in 1956. Gary was in the US Navy and served on the air craft carrier USS Saratoga. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Grandview, MO Lodge #2088. Gary retired from Western Electric/AT&T after 38 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Adams. Gary is survived by his son Paul Adams of Grain Valley, granddaughter Faith Adams, sister Loretta Magerl (Joseph), nieces Joan Fritz (Tim) & Julie Gentry (Jim), great nieces Jessica English & Shannon Gentry, great nephews Austin Alexander & Shane Gentry.
