

Geneva (Kramos) Beades, 95, passed away November 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28th at 10:00 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of Annunciation, 12001 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., where a Trisagian service will take place at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation.
Geneva was born to James Kramedas and Demetrula (Provas) Kramedas, July 10, 1917, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was of Greek descent and was a long-term member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation. She worked as a secretary at T.G. & Y. Stores, was with Foremost Insurance for 12 years, and was a Personnel Representative at Employers Reinsurance Co. She volunteered as a First Aid Instructor for Johnson County Red Cross and she also volunteered at Johnson County Health Department for ten years assisting in Well Child Clinics. Geneva was a Girl Scout Leader in Scout troops where her daughters were involved.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John, and by her parents James and Demetrula Kramedas (Kramos), brothers Pete and Paul Kramos, and sisters Francis Steriotis, Gelena Orf, Kathryn Mastos, Maria Dyer and son-in-law Bill Zimmerman. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Zimmerman, of Gladstone, MO, Patricia Hayes, of Olathe, KS, son-in-law Edward Hayes and granddaughter Lisa Allender, of Kansas City, MO.
