

George Angelo Betros, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, died on September 23, 2009. A Service of Remembrance will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. at the chapel. George was born on August 20, 1925 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Angelo Demetrious and Myrtle Maude (Marshall) Betros. He was in the Coast Guard during World War II and the American Legion. After the war, he worked for 40 years in the graphic arts profession, including Ross Lithographing for 20 years and Prestige Litho until he retired. He started as a pressman and retired as a senior salesman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, in 2003 and brother James A. Betros. George leaves a daughter, Catherine Tierney (Phil) of Kansas City, Missouri; three sons, George R. Betros of Duluth, Minnesota, James A. Betros and Arthur D. Betros and their families of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a stepdaughter, Carrie Ann Gillaspie of Overland Park, Kansas; brother, Louis A. Betros of Lenexa, Kansas; sister-in-law Loretta Brozman of Overland Park, Kansas; and 2 brothers-in-law, Bob Gillaspie and Steve Gillaspie, both of Kansas City, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Jennifer, Courtney, and Cameron.
