A visitation and gathering to honor George’s life will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Following cremation services George will be released into the loving care of his family. The family suggests contributions to any charity of conservation in the state of Missouri.
George was born March 21, 1952 to Earsie George and Norma (Hobbs) Gadd in Odessa, MO. George’s father was an Air Force career man and the family lived in Alaska and Florida before returning to Missouri. He was a 1970 graduate of Liberty High School. George enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Texas and Tennessee. George was over-the-road truck driver for Merritt Foods. Later he was maintenance manager for Copp Transportation Company and Brown National Lease. George retired in 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carlos Ray Gadd; his sister Reba Dianne; and his sister-in-law, Judy Gadd.
George is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sheila M. Gadd; four children, Jennifer Dill and husband, Dewayne of White House, TN, Thomas Gadd of the home, Erin Gadd of Ottawa, KS, and Christopher Gadd and wife, Christina, of Liberty, MO; a brother, Charles Gadd of Kansas City, MO; a sister Brenda Klamp of Kansas City, MO; 14 grandchildren, Michael May, Tiffany May, Chris May, Aspen Preston, Trevor Preston, Delilah Mack, Thomas Gadd, Damon Flippin, Valerie Flippin, Gavin Lackey, Riley Stockham, Ophelia Stockham, Jaxon Gadd, and Isabella Gadd; and a great granddaughter, Alex May; and several nieces and nephews.
