

George Richard Grady, 92, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away July 21, 2012. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mr. Grady was born April 16, 1920 in Sedalia, Missouri, son of Aron B. and Josephine (Cerny) Grady. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, stationed in India. He retired from Factory Motor Parts in 2002, at the age of 82. Mr. Grady was an active volunteer with Harvesters until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James. Mr. Grady is survived by his wife Donna L. (Hastings) Grady of the home; daughter Cathy Hillen and husband Bill of Kansas City, Missouri; son Jim Grady of Independence, Missouri; stepdaughter Cindy Moreland and husband John Buckner of Shawnee, Kansas; stepdaughter Michelle Masoner and husband Arthur of Independence, Missouri; grandson Adam Hillen and wife Jodi of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; stepgrandson Leonard Moreland Jr. of the home; stepgranddaughter Amanda Pyles and husband Randy of Raytown, Missouri; stepgranddaughter Amber Barnhill and husband Bucksly of Independence, Missouri; stepgrandson Joshua Masoner of Kansas City, Missouri; stepgranddaughter Elizabeth Moreland of the home; great-grandsons Bryce Hillen and Andrew Hillen; stepgreat-granddaughter Gabriella Barnhill; stepgreat-grandson Steven Pyles; stepgreat-granddaughter Autumn Pyles and stepgreat-granddaughter Ann-Marie Pyles; extended family and friends.Condolences may be offered at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
