He was born on July 15, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Harry and Elsie (LaBrune) Hacker. George was married to the love of his life Helen for 53 years. He grew up in the Sioux City, Iowa area. George was in the United States Air Force and the Air Force Reserves for 29 years. He was a dock worker at C.F. Truck Lines. George loved to refinish furniture and work outside in the yard. He enjoyed many special trips with his wife.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, his parents, Harry and Elsie and his granddaughter, Jennifer.
He is survived by his six children, Alice Hacker of Kansas City, Missouri, Elaine Denham of Kansas City, Missouri, Steve Hacker of Houston, Texas, David Hacker of Arkansas and two others, fifteen grandchildren and many great grandkids.
Memorial Military Honors will be held at 11 am at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Please gather at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home at 10:45 and family and friends will process to the graveside.
