

George was born in Kansas City, MO to George and Mildred Jergens. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Judith Jergens; a son, Brett (Sarah) Jergens; two granddaughters, Madison and Ella; and many nieces and nephews.
After graduating Southeast High School, he attended Purdue University where he graduated with a degree in civil engineering. While there, he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and the Purdue Rowing Team as a coxswain. He later attended the University of Missouri, earning a master’s degree in business. He spent the majority of his professional career at Marion Laboratories until he retired. He would later earn a CFP license.
Bob was a unique soul, kind, loving, generous, easy-going and had a great sense of humor. He really loved his family and enjoyed life and will be greatly missed. He was loved by all.
Visitation will be held 10 – 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 16 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment in Mt. Moriah South Cemetery.
