Gerald G. Glasgow, 84, passed away January 11, surrounded by family. He was born in Excelsior Springs, MO and moved to Topeka, KS where he attended Topeka High School and Washburn University, later meeting the love of his life of 59 years, his wife Shirley Janzen. Moving to Denver, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a medic and later moved to Kansas City, MO. He was hired in 1957 by Black and Veatch Engineering, going on to become Head of The Electrical and Communication Department in the Power Division, retiring after 42 years. He shared the love of hunting with his son and grandsons and would often vacation at Silver Dollar City with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley. He is survived by his three children, daughters Judy Glasgow Hall (Steven), Linda Glasgow Whited; son Dennis Glasgow (Lori); 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his sister Shirley Caddell (Bob).
Services held at Mount Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., KCMO. Visitation 6-8 pm Monday, January 16. Funeral 1 pm Tuesday, January 17. Burial at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
