Gerald “Jerry” Thomas Williams, 76, of North Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 4, 2024, at NorthCare Hospice House. Born on November 10, 1947, in Kansas City, Jerry was the beloved son of A.Z. and Dorothy (Champion) Williams.
A long-time resident of Kansas City who also spent time in Tucson, AZ, Jerry graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1965. Following high school, he briefly worked with the Brick Mason’s Union before co-founding K & W Masonry with his uncle, Jerry Kleihauer, where he devoted more than 50 years of his life to the masonry trade. Known for his dedication, he took great pride in crafting homes and friendships.
Jerry had a lifelong love for fishing, venturing from Guatemala to Alaska for adventure and memories. He treasured these trips, enjoying countless hours on the water with family and friends, creating bonds that lasted a lifetime. A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, he enthusiastically followed his hometown teams, sharing his passion for sports with those close to him.
Above all, Jerry loved supporting his children and grandchildren in their pursuits, especially on the field and on the court. Whether cheering them on at a game or simply hearing about their latest achievements, he was their biggest fan, proud of each accomplishment and milestones.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Williams, and his wife, Betty Williams.
He is survived by his three children, Daniel (Petra) Williams, Jeff (Tracy) Williams, and Kristi (Jason) Williams; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings David (Debbie) Williams, Michael (Jamela) Williams, Doug (Donna) Williams, and Kathy (Lendal) Jenkins; and his first wife, Susan Williams.
