Gerardo Diego-Zaragoza

On Sunday, January 24, 2021, Gerardo Diego-Zaragoza, loving brother, fiancé and father of four boys passed away at the age of 40. Gerardo was born October 16, 1980 in Carmen, Campeche, Mexico to Maria Lorenza Zaragoza Huerta and Manuel Diego Chico.

After graduating from high school, Gerardo traveled to the United States and spent his adult life working hard to provide for his family as a carpenter. He raised four sons, Gerardo, Jr., Noah, Marcus and Alexander. Gerardo’s greatest passion in his life was raising his sons up to be strong men of God and he always enjoyed the quality time they spent together. He was a man of very strong faith, integrity and family values. He truly had a kind, compassionate spirit and a contagious smile.

Gerardo is survived by his mom, Maria Lorenza; dad, Manuel; siblings, Emiliano, Maria, Hermanijilda, Dina, Lucas and Lucia; his fiancé, Candy; his children and stepchildren, Gerardo, Jr., NOAH, Marcus, Alexander, Joseph, Emalee, Caleb and Carter; and his many cousins.

There will be a visitation at Prinipe de Paz Church, 703 Beacon, Kansas City, MO from 3-6 pm Thursday, January 28. Burial will be Carmen, Campeche, Mexico
