Gery Allen Grieshaber was born to Felix August & Esther Anne Grieshaber on April 24, 1950, in St. Joseph, MO, and passed away in his home on November 14, 2025, at the age of 75, while residing in Kansas City, KS.
Gery was the 2nd oldest of 7 siblings: Steven Grieshaber, (Gery,) Grace Ann Bonnell, Cindy Olson, Bill Grieshaber, Joel Grieshaber, & Eric Grieshaber
Gery was married to his only love Nanette "Nan" Grieshaber on September 1st, 1972 and they raised 1 son, Anthony Allen Grieshaber, born 1976. Anthony gave Gery & Nan 3 grandchildren of Dakota Austin Grieshaber, KyLeigh Andrea Harris, and Taytum Marie Grieshaber.
Gery was an Airplane Mechanic, and aspired to be a Pilot. He then worked at General Motors, where he retired in 2006. Amongst many skills, he was quite skilled with anything mechanical, often helping others to save money and skill up for themselves as well.
Gery was well known as an always joyous and undeniable presence in the room wherever he went, never once meeting a "stranger," nor treating you any differently if you were. Gery's truly unconditional love for others, lack of any personal judgement, and consistent offer to be a helping hand was exemplary and unforgettable. Gery shared this life with us in his own very special way, and it showed in every action.
A visitation will be held on November 18, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, located at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64131. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm. A committal service will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery South following the funeral service.
