Gisela A. Anderson

Gisela Anna (Hanisch) Anderson, 95, of Raymore, Mo., with her son Peter, by her side, was called into the Lord's forever care on August 22, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Gisela was born April 15, 1929, in Berlin, Germany.

Gisela met her future husband Jim, after the war, while he was stationed with the United States Army in Berlin. They were married March 1, 1948.

Gisela retired in 1999 after 43 years as Administrative Assistant for Hallmark Cards, Inc.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Donald Anderson; her son Michael Erich Anderson; her parents Erich and Hildegard Hanisch; her sisters, Anneliese and Inga; and brother Peter of Germany.

She is survived by her son Peter Anderson and wife Vicki of San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren, Gavin Anderson and wife Elizabeth, Tracy Sloan and husband Josh, and Jared Anderson, all of Texas, and grandson Brent Anderson and wife Amber of Missouri; and 7 great grandchildren, MacKenzie Spears and husband Paul, Kyle Anderson and wife Cloe, Trystin Wilson, Brooklynn and Jaxon Anderson, all of Texas, and River and Ridge Anderson of Missouri; and 4 great-great grandchildren, Lane, Ella and Kami Spears, and Deacon Anderson, all of Texas; as well as nephew, Andreas Schot and family of Berlin, Germany; and niece Carola Bartke and family of Wallenhorst, Germany.

Gisela was a wonderful, sweet, loving and caring Mother and Oma to her family. We will cherish our wonderful memories of times spent with her and Opa and miss both dearly. We know she is happy to be reunited with Opa once again!
