

Gladys Gloria Sutton (Gleason) passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on March 12, 1925, to Gladys and George Gleason, Gloria came from a large extended family who fondly called her “Pete”. She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Sutton, brother, Glenn Gleason, and her sisters, Marion and Dorothy Gibbins.
Gloria met her husband, LeRoy, at a dance and they were married soon thereafter on May 20th, 1941. Roy joined the army and was sent overseas. While there, they had a son, Gary (wife, Cindy). Five years later, in 1949, their daughter, Joyce was born.
Gloria enjoyed and treasured her grandchildren, Kristy Kuenze, Jennifer Reed, Kristina Beytien, Teddy Thomas, and Caileen Thomas. She also had 7 great-grandchildren who loved calling her “Great”.
Gloria was a member for over 50 years of the Blue Ridge Methodist Church where she was involved in the sewing guild. She and Roy belonged to the Lake Lotawana Shrin Club where they loved to dance and enjoy friends. She was also involved in sewing for the Shriner’s Children’s Burn Hospital.
Gloria was employed at Keylocks Manufacturing where her boss referred to her as “the back-bone” of the company. She retired after 30 years of employment.
Gloria will be missed by all of those she loved and touched in her long life.
A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO, 64133, on February 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 17, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery on February 17, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
