

Glen Edward Baker passed away on March 16, 2026 at the age of 85. Glen was born on December 6, 1940 and was raised in Slater, Missouri. He had lived the past several years in North Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from Slater High School he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 until his discharge in 1962 after serving as a communications central specialist. Following his time in the service, Glen moved to North Kansas City. In 1968 he married Lillian White. They were blessed with 37 years of marriage before her passing on August 16, 2005. Glen was employed for the North Kansas City Water Department and retired in 2006. Glen enjoyed watching baseball, western movies and Nascar racing. Glen especially enjoyed his granddaughters.
In addition to his wife, Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Wilford and Margaret Catherine (Gibbons) Baker; step-son, Michael E. Scott; a step-daughter, Kelly Packham-Berkstresser; siblings, Joyce McKenzie and Delbert Baker.
Glen is survived by a son, Edward Baker and wife, Jennifer Baker; two brothers, Harold Baker and Larry Baker; and former daughter-in-law, Zaneta Yanez and her husband, Rudy Yanez; granddaughters, Jennifer L. Sager, Sandra L. Miller, Yasmin Scott, Sophia Sager, and Holly Packham-Berkstresser; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, where a visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
