OBITUARY

Glenn Edward Ealey

May 18, 1953August 1, 2018

Glenn Edward Ealey, 65, of Kansas City, Missouri kept fighting, but his body betrayed him and he lost to melanoma on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 5:30am.

He was born in Sioux City, Iowa at St. Joseph Hospital on May 18, 1953 to the late Valma Angel Louise Dugdale Ealey and Edward Arthur Ealey.

He was proud to be baptized at Grace Point Baptist Church on July 7, 2013. He was the “neighborhood good will waver”, saying ‘hello” to all. We will miss his jokes, laughter & imitations. He never complained even when doctors thought he should be in great pain. He had a troubled life and was just ready to enjoy it when this cancer struck.

We wish to thank our friends, Grace Point friends, the wonderful staffs of K.C. Hospice, St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas University cancer personnel & his favorites at Redwood Blue River Rehabilitation Center and neighbors.

If you wish to donate in his name, please give to K.C. Hospice on Wornall, KU Cancer Center or the Wayside Waifs, where he got his cat (Pretty Lady) for his birthday and still looks for him.

No visitation, memorial service at 3:00pm Saturday, August 11th at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Those who can navigate the hill to his gravesite are welcome.

Left to mourn him are Dale A. Ealey & wife Kathleen, Valma A.S. Ealey, cousins Bonnie Kounas, Andi Steinhoff, Midge Schunneman & Rosina Johnson. Nieces & nephews: Emily A. Ealey, Samuel E. Ealey, Holly A. Ealey, Connor M. Ealey & Sarah R. Ealey.

The Lord giveth & taketh away. Benjamin Carter was born & Glenn Ealey passed.

Please wear sports clothing – his favorite. No flowers or plants please.
