Gloria Dean Eddy

She was the daughter of Charles and Adebie (Laham) Ferris. Gloria started working at the age of 10 at her father's movie theater.

Gloria Ferris married AG Eddy on November 10th 1957. She helped AG who was one of the original owners of Eddys’ Restaurant at 13th and Baltimore, and co-owned with his brother, LeRoy Eddy, Eddys’ Restaurant South. She retired after 39 years from Clinque. After retirement her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, shopping and family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Albert "AG" Eddy II, parents Charles and Adebie (Laham) Ferris, son, George A. Eddy II, sisters, Clara Laham, Loretta Massad, and sisters in law, Fanny Jane Farha and Barbara Ferris.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharla D. Eddy, daughter-in-law, Shannan Eddy, grandchildren Deena (Bobby) Ruiz, Alyssa Jane Sparhawk (Brandyn Gale), Kaylah Eddy, Matthew Eddy, and Kyle Eddy, great-grandchildren, Mila Gloria, Olivia Emmanuelle, and Leonel Gabriel Ruiz, brother, Maurice Ferris, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on December 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, located at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. The funeral service will follow on the same day from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the same venue. Entombment will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, from 3:00 pm to 3:15 pm.
