Glyna Louise Jackson

Glyna was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1935, to Glenn and Louise Smith. Her family moved to Dallas, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Donald. They met in high school and later married and had a wonderful 72 years together. Glyna always said her and Donald had created a magical fairy tale life together.

Glyna and Don have two children together: Leslie Lynn Jackson and Karrie Marie Baxley. Between the two of them they have five grandchildren: Kevin Anne Taylor, Adam Finkelston, Lindsey Finkelston, Sean O'Reilly and Michael O'Reilly. From the grandchildren come great-grandchildren: Ira Finkelston, Ethan Taylor, Marigold Finkelston and Logan Taylor.

Glyna will be greatly missed. She was fun, always happy, a bit spunky, and such a beautiful person. Glyna and Don moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1967 and spent the rest of their life there. From raising their family, to traveling, spending time with friends, going golfing, and building their dream home, their life together was always enjoyable.

Glyna was an avid golfer, playing in both the city and District Golf Leagues, as well as playing golf around the world. She also enjoyed gambling and shopping. Most of all, she enjoyed her life with Donald. She lived a beautiful and fulfilling life, and she will be greatly missed by all.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 18 at 12:00pm at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. For more information visit MtMoriah.net
