With heavy hearts, she is survived by her children, Hannah Kuklenski, Rachel Kuklenski, and Austin Kuklenski, as well as her older sister Diane Heilker and her older brother Jim Velghe. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Rose Velghe.
Godlove was born November 4, 1956 in Independence, MO. She attended St. Mary’s High School in Independence, MO, and graduated from University of Central Missouri.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as an incredibly strong woman full of life and always available for anyone that needed her. She won a national sewing competition at the age of 11, and was voted Greek Goddess at CMSU. She was a breast cancer survivor, and always made sure to live her life to the fullest. She loved going out dancing with her friends, and was an advocate for the LGBTQIA community. She loved gardening and cooking and was always sharing recipes, tips and tricks. She loved her sweet puppy Ava, and above all else, loved spending time with the three most important people in her life, her children.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Trevor Project, the KC Pet Project, or that you spend some extra time with your family.
