Grace A. Rowe

Grace A. Rowe, 94, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Bloomington, Il, passed away on October 17, 2014. Grace was born May 16, 1920 to Chester and Goldie Gabehart in Campbellsville, KY. After growing up in a large, loving family and living several years in Illinois, Grace and her husband traveled to Kansas City, MO. In Kansas City, she was employed by Montgomery Wards for 25 years as a supervisor in custom draperies. For many years, Grace was an active member at Avondale United Methodist Church and dedicated her services to the United Methodist Women’s organization

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Warner Luster, Jr.; second husband, Ralph Rowe, Jr.; three brothers, Arlo, Leland and Marvin Gabehart; and nephew, Tommy Gabehart. Surviving are two sisters, Eleanor Hayden of Gladstone, MO and Louise Reeves of Bloomington, IL; three nieces, Cheri (Ron) Foggy and Patti Reeves of Bloomington, IL and Debbie (Leroy) Bishop of Gladstone, MO.

She was a joy to all who knew her and will be sincerely missed by many.

Visitation will be Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, with funeral services to follow at Noon. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Kansas City.
