

Greg Kiblen, age 28, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 9th, 2011. Visitation will be held at McGilley State Line Chapel (12301 State Line Rd., KCMO) on Tuesday, July 12,.Rosary will be at 5pm followed by visitation from 5:30 to 8pm. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 13 at Church of the Ascension, Overland Park, Kansas.
Greg was born May 30, 1983 in Bellevue, WA to Connie and Dave Kiblen. He was the third of four boys born to this union. After moving the family to Leawood, KS in 1986, Greg’s father was unexpectedly called away from this life. Greg and his brothers banded together to watch over each other & their mother. In 1997, Greg’s mom remarried and brought a stepfather & 2 well-loved sisters into his life, followed shortly by another brother.
Within this merry band of siblings, Greg lived up to his name by being always gregarious and charismatic. He could make anyone laugh, and he was a very loyal friend, well loved by all who know him. Greg regularly surprised his family and friends with his thoughtful messages, entertained them with hilarious stories & loved them with all of his heart. Greg graduated from Blue Valley North High School in 2002, attended Fort Scott Community College and the University of Kansas.
Greg is survived by his mother & stepfather , Connie & Bill Watkins, his siblings Jeff (Katie) Kiblen, Chris Kiblen, Lisa Watkins, TJ Kiblen, Emily Watkins and Justin Watkins, nieces and nephew, his loving second parents, Steve and Margaret Martin, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Sister Servants of Mary. Gift cards will be at the Church.
