Angela & family,  How we wished we could have been at the wake and funeral to says our goodbyes even though we saw him before you left here. We are still saddened  with his passing and know that you have so many great memories of him. We have been thinking of all of you at this most sad time in your lives. He will be deeply missed by all.

I’m so sorry to hear this. He was such a fun loving kid when we were little. I still remember him coming to our house and asking my Mom what was for dinner that night. He’d always eat at our house if he liked what she was making. Also remember the small pool at the Haefner house (next door); lots of fun in the summers. Prayers for comfort and peace to all in his life.

I was lucky enough to get to know Gregg at Lindbergh HS when his older brother Glenn married my older sister Barb.  Gregg was lucky enough to sit by me in Acapella Choir where our daily greeting was me saying “Hey, Fner!”, and him rolling his eyes and replying “Hey Acord”.  :-)  Although we didn’t see much of each other in the following years due to he and his family relocating from St. Louis, it was always great to catch up.  Through his brother Glenn I was happy to hear of his successful aviation career and I could tell that Glenn was proud of him.  He will be sorely missed, and my deepest condolences to his entire family.

My deepest condolences to the Haefner family.  I first knew Greg as a fellow aviator back in the late 80's when we worked at TWA. It was often mentioned during our time there that it was the people that worked there is what made it so very special. Greg was certainly no exception and when crises occurred (as they often did at that airline), Greg could always been seen as a calm leader and resource as the rest of us were scratching our heads wondering what the next steps should be. It was no surprise to hear the same comments regarding Greg's leadership as an A320 Captain at JetBlue. I know pilots loved to fly with Greg and have witnessed that calm, steady guidance while on the flight deck. It was the right way to fly and I know his son Garrett will continue his father's tradition of leadership during his flying career. The aviation community has lost a special airman, but we can remember him by continuing to lead by Greg's example.

I'm so sorry that one of my second cousins passed so young.  I pray comfort for the family in this difficult time.  It had only been in recent years that I'd discovered my second cousins and Gregg and I had not yet had a long conversation, but I'd had a short conversation with Shirleymae in 2020, so I was hopeful I'd see Gregg in person.
