Greg, I  didn't know you very long but you were always kind and gracious.  You mixed up the best cocktails! Had great times at the trailer after leaving the flamingo. What great decor! New year's eves were particularly interesting.

O now that hurts. O Greg,  I always thought I'd hear you yell my name and say Miller? Just one last time.   What a great friend you were Greg.  Thank you for everything.  Remember the Christmas eve party I thru after work that made Lyle and Jack buy the place from John?  How many times did you run out of booze?  Dennis was bartender and I even waited tables.  What a day and night that was.  Mel and I send our heart felt condolences to freinds and family.  Best Bartender around and a good friend.   He is missed.  


Very sad news for many people.  Great bartender, even better friend.  Many trips to the Indy 500 and some cruises, great time, every time - and he never put my picture on his bathroom wall!  He will be missed.

Farewell "Jesus!" The Blues Cruise won't be the same without you! 

  I knew greg well... We spent many nights shaving the eyebrows off people that passed out at gregs trailer.
  Lyle Leas employed us at the flamingo. He was always there, always laughing, sharing stories, telling lies! 
  Greg always welcomed us into his home. Maybe because it was so close to the flamingo. I like to think he enjoyed our company. I certainly enjoyed his. 
Greg planned on doing something when he turned 65. I hope he didnt enjoy it.
I never got a chance to ask him if he liked it or not. 
I will miss him

I feel Greg was generally a very happy person in his career field of as a bartender.  He was well known.  He was always dressed nicely, he like to fashion his jewelry and always had that cool black hat on. I ran into on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise in 2007. He said he enjoyed doing it every year.  So I hope that he felt he had a life well lived. I know  nothing of his personal life. Hope he had loved ones near when he passed.  He is a memorable person. He usually remembered his customers, remembered their favorite beverage and served you with a smile.  Let's raise our glasses in a toast to a Kansas City legendary bartender! Cheers!
