Gwendoline Pearl Funk Winkler, 84, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away February 16, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband George Ted Funk, her son Rev. Richard Funk and son Paul Funk. Gwen is survived by her husband Glenn Doyle Winkler, her daughter Janice Yocum and husband Leon, son Ted Funk and wife Rebecca, daughter-in-law Peggy Browne, stepchildren Bob Winkler and wife Kathi, Valerie Dame and husband John, Stacy Winkler and wife Joy, Glenda Lavelle and husband Bob, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Gwen was born in South Devon, Wales on April 6, 1927, daughter of William and Marion Drew. She was a British war bride in 1945. She had a beautiful singing voice and was a school nurse in the Raytown School District in the 1970s. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Mt.
