
Gwendolyn G. Bell, 79, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026. She was born on April 10, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas. Gwendolyn spent many years working as a cashier for Hy-Klas Foods in Plattsburg, Missouri. She became a familiar face to customers and coworkers alike, taking pride in her work and enjoying the many friendships she made throughout her career before retiring.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William E. "Dusty" Bell, who passed away on December 5, 2007; her son, Robert A. Lewis, affectionately known as "Andy," who passed away on November 1, 1984; her daughter, Wende K. Routh, who passed away on February 20, 2025; her mother, Gertrude "Tula" Sebilla; her stepfather, Ramon Sebilla; and her sister, Victoria Bejarano. She is survived by her children: Genaro R. Lewis, Phillip A. Lewis, Stephanie V. Breece (husband, Mike), Jacqueline "Brandy" Hendrickson (husband, Zach) and Sierra L. Bell. She also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Tye, Nathan (wife, Kristen), Jessica, Robbie, Kaelyn, Ryan (fiancée, Tamara), Lily, and Ouanje; as well as 17 beloved great-grandchildren, many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched over the years.
Gwendolyn found joy in spending time with those she loved. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to live on through her family for generations to come. The family will announce funeral or memorial service arrangements at a later date.
