Harold D. Bowles, age 92, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away on January 5, 2017. Gathering at 1PM on Sunday, May 7, at Floral Hills Funeral Home with memorial service at 2PM. Burial was held privately at Longview Cemetery where he was placed next to his wife Dorothy. Harold was born in Pine Grove Furnace, Ohio, in Scioto County, May 23, 1924. Harold served in the Navy from 1941-1962 achieving the rank of Aviation Machinist Mate Chief Petty Officer through World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years Dorothy, all 9 of his brothers and sisters, and his parents Emma and Oscar. He is survived by daughter Donna Bowles; as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
