
His parents were Norman Brown and Clyita Willis Brown. Harold had 2 sisters, Mary Ritter, who preceded him in death, and Twilla Sebastion, of Nichols, Iowa.
Harold married Sharon Smith in 1962 and had 63 years of marriage. To that union was born 4 children, three of them preceded Harold in death. One baby boy who was stillborn, Lonnie Wayne Brown, and Michael Eugene Brown. He had one daughter, Lynnette Marie Brown of the home, and 5 grandchildren.
Harold served in the US Army, Special Forces from 1960 to 1963. After his army service he had several different jobs, but settled into driving big trucks for 32 years. After retiring from trucking he was happily active in helping raise his grandchildren.
Harold attended FaithKC church where he served as greeter and usher. The past 2 years were spent in managing many health problems, but mostly battling cancer with the support of MidAmerica Cancer Care at Research hospital, to whom we are very grateful.
Harold passed away late in the evening on Christmas Day, December 26, 2025. We know he is having a grand time in heaven catching up his loved ones.
Harold chose to be cremated and we will plan on having a celebration of his life in the early spring.
