Lee was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 24, 1946. She lived a life filled with love, family, dedication, friendship, and cherished memories. She will be remembered for her caring heart, warm spirit, strength, and the lasting impression she made on the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Lee began her professional career with TWA in 1968, beginning a long and successful career in the travel industry. She later continued her work with PARS, which eventually became Worldspan and later Travelport. In 1993, Lee moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to continue her career with Worldspan. Through the many changes and transitions throughout her professional life, Lee remained dedicated to her work and the people she worked alongside.
Outside of work, Lee had a lifelong passion for tennis. An avid tennis player, she enjoyed the sport throughout her life and remained very active in Atlanta’s tennis community. She participated in tennis leagues, forming friendships and sharing countless hours on the court. Tennis was more than a hobby for Lee—it was a meaningful part of her life and a source of joy, friendship, activity, and connection.
Family was at the heart of Lee’s life. She treasured the time spent with her loved ones and took great pride in watching her family grow through the generations.
Lee was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Terry; her daughter, Kristin; her mother, Leona Scott; and her father, Harold Scott.
Lee leaves behind her daughter, Shannon Adamson and her husband, John; her son, Daniel Winters and his wife, Jennifer; granddaughter Bailey Romero and her husband, Logan; grandsons Logan Winters and Landon Winters; and great-grandson Asher Romero.
Her family was her greatest legacy, and the love she shared with them will continue through each generation. She will also be remembered and missed by the many friends, tennis partners, former colleagues, and others whose lives she touched throughout her 80 years.
Lee’s life was one of love, perseverance, dedication, friendship, and devotion to the people and passions that mattered most to her. Although she is no longer with us, the memories she created, the friendships she formed, and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Rest peacefully, Lee. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.
