Harrell R Smith born Jan. 6 1923 passed May 4,2018 at the Villages of Jackson Creek. He is survived by his beloved, devoted wife of 67 years Marie. Two sisters Lydia Bryant and Rose Mary Baker all of Independence.
Many nephews and nieces, great and even great great nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Bessie Smith as well as six brothers, Lee,Tom,Jack,Eddie,Chester and Ernest Jr.
Harrell was a World War Two veteran who flew in B26 planes as a top turret gunner.
He worked for a vending company for 25 years. Starting at the bottom and working his way into a top management position with many employees and responsibilities.
