Hazel Irene Redmon

Hazel Irene Redmon, age 95, of Fulton, MO. passed away on Monday February 24, 2020 at Pine Ridge Health Care Center in Livingston, Texas.

She was born on August 12, 1924 in Jefferson City, MO. the daughter of Ephraim A. and Lucy Jane Rush. She married Chester Redmon on June 7, 1942 and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2017. Hazel was a devoted wife and mother. She was previously employed at Shalinsky Rexall Drugs in Kansas City, Kansas as a pharmacy tech and retail sales. She was a charter member of the Faith Temple Church in Kansas City, Kansas and was the church pianist for 40 years. She sang with the “Soulful Sounds” regularly sharing her talents with KCK local nursing homes and at the Glory Barn.

She is survived by: one daughter: Sandra (Marion) Morris of Onalaska, Texas. Two sons: Kenneth (Dene) Redmon of Midland, Texas and Stephen (Sherri) Redmon of Fulton, MO. Five Granchildren: Seth (Hope) Gideon, Nathan (Sally) Redmon, Natalie (Pheyland) Barthen, Shanelle Hill, and Chet (Aubrey) Redmon. Ten Great Grandchildren; Jesselynn and Makenna Cross, Izack and Annabelle Redmon, Kedron and Asher Barthen, Jess Meeder, Grace and Naomi Hill and River Redmon. Three Great Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emmett and Emelia Meeder. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, daughter; Annette, grandson; Daniel Hill and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM, friends may greet the family at 1:30 PM. Rev. Kenneth Redmon will officiate. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
