
Hazel E. White, 88, of Raytown, MO, passed away on May 17, 2011, at Golden Heights Living Center in Garnett, KS. Visitation will be at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 9020 E. 51st Terr. KCMO, on Saturday, May 21, from 9-10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 a.m. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Hazel was born in Napoleon, MO, on August 25, 1922, to John & Mabel Parson. She graduated college from the University of Washington Tacoma, she has been a Kansas City area resident since 1949 and was a founding member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. Hazel served in the U.S. Navy during WWII; she was a First Class Yeoman and one of the first W.A.V.E. Recruiters in the Kansas City Area. She was a secretary for the family business, White Dental Studio. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James White in 1989; a son, James E. White in 1999 and a sister, Ruth Saunders. She is survived by her sons, Stephan (Valerie) White, Don (Siobhan) White; daughters, Diana (Larry) Knox, Patricia (Chuck) Wobker, Mary (David) Kahler; daughter-in-law, Peggy Davenport; sister-in-law, Bea (Ray) Devitt; brothers-in-law, Al White and Gene Petit; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
