Helen F. Boley, 82, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 27th at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28th at the funeral home with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Helen was born on March 18, 1929 in Kansas City, MO. She was the daughter of Charles and Velma (Wykoff) Shepard. Helen graduated from Westport High School and Kansas City Junior College. She married James J. Boley on June 18, 1949 at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO. She was proud of her work with The American Friends of the Middle East. She worked in Iran and Jordan as the Disbursing Officer and was in the Middle East before the 1967 battle with Israel. Helen also worked at the Marine Corps Finance Center and helped dependents receive Military survivor benefits. She also worked in the Banking and Financial Industry. Helen was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and PEO. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James J. Boley of Kansas City, MO.
