Oh, the memories I have of my sweet and precious Aunt Helen!
I can remember when I was probably around 9 or 10 years old going to visit her and Uncle Kenneth in the summer when they lived in Cross Timbers.   One year there was a tent revival and I had only play clothes with me.  No big deal; Aunt Helen went to work making me a dress.  No other place in this world do I remember having more fun doing dishes than I did with that lady!  She made everything special just being herself.  That house is barely standing there on 65 highway as you approach Cross Timbers, but the memories will remain forever. 
Later as a teenager I would visit them in Kansas City after they had moved there.  Aunt Helen would take me shopping whether I needed anything or not.   She was a giver!!! 
After I married my husband Bill and I visited them there in Kansas City and later in Raytown.   We began our families very close to the same time; each of us having one son and one daughter.   Our visits became further apart as our lives got busier, but they were still very special. A few years back  we had the opportunity to visit Aunt Helen and take our two youngest grandsons along.   I told of things in the past and though I’m not sure she was remembering them or even if she actually knew exactly who we were,  that same precious smile was there and we got hugs and kisses.   Oh, my, how I loved that lady❤️



You were very much loved, Miss Helen, and will certainly be missed.  I will always remember your bright smile & the laughter you shared willingly on our visits.  Rest in peace & enjoy the Chief wins!


I remember when I went to Kansas City chiefs games that I would get out my binoculars and look for Helen who always sat in the lower level of the Endzone right behind the Chiefs band. It was easy to find her because of that luscious white hair that she has. She was truly a big Chiefs fan!
You are going to be missed dearly.

She was my aunt Helen.  One of the sweetest and kindest people I ever knew.  Didn't get to spend alot of time around her growing up,  but the times I did get to,  were priceless. 
The last time I saw her was at a family gathering in Preston,  Mo.  (2003)  The same sweet smiling face then,  and that's how I will always remember her.
