Hollis Dale Jackson, 83, Independence, MO, passed away July 19, 2016 peacefully at home. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 14310 E. 42nd St. South, Ste. #100, Independence, MO 64055.
Hollis was born November 14, 1932 in Fayette, MO. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a supervisor for ATT for over 30 years, retiring in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie in 2005, a son Darryl McCormick in 2012 and a daughter Denise Grafton in 2002. Hollis is survived by his children Suzanne Riggin (Doug), Will Jackson (Debbie), Brian Jackson, and Kim Collins (James); 12 grandchildren Lesley, Greg, Natalie, Bonnie, Brandon, Ryan, Sarah, Alan, Joy, Jonathan, Emily and Ashley; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
