Howard Eldon Best

He faced cancer 3 times and embraced each day with courage & joy of life.

On Dec 8, 1962 he married the love of his life Sandra Sue Weinberg. They shared 63 years of marriage with devotion, love and laughter.

He loved to travel, cruising with friends was a plus. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed his antique cars. He was a remarkably talented craftsman and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed tinkering with his old cars. The 1929 Mercedes replica car that he built was an award winner. He participated in car shows, parades, tours, and morning coffee with the boys.

He will be remembered for his kind heart. He never met a stranger, his smile lit up a room. He had a large collection of everything including the old tools to work on the antique cars.

Howard is survived by his devoted wife Sandra, daughters Sherry Best, husband Will Valk, Bobbie Jo Howard, grandson Bryce Howard, Brother-in-Law Jim Rickets, nieces and nephews. We will miss him deeply.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys & Eldon Best, daughter, Susan Kay Fields, her husband Gary Fields, and his sister, Linda Jo Rickets.
