Hubert is survived by his wife Alice; children, William James; Ervin (Kathy) Conn, Charles (Mary) Conn Sr., Charlotte (Rick) Crook, Margaret (David) Dearing and Janet (Steve) Brockhouse; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, 3 children, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Hubert was born on November 3, 1923 in Leeton MO to Edwin Allen Conn and Marion Alice (Miller) Conn. He joined the Army in 1943. He was a radio lineman during World War II. He earned several sharpshooter medals while in the service. His received an Honorable Discharge in 1945.
After the service, Hubert worked several jobs including auto mechanic and truck driver.
His children remember him as a father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Hubert was a great auto mechanic and loved to tinker with his cars. He enjoyed auto racing and watched it whenever possible.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday, December 18 at Mt. Moriah Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City Mo. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00. Pastor Michael Buettner will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be at Floral Hill East Cemetery in Lee’s Summit MO. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Hubert's life.
