Hugh Love Jones III, age 83, of Raytown, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. Hugh was born in Kansas City, Missouri.
Hugh graduated from Southeast High School in 1957. Hugh graduated from Florida State University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. Hugh worked as a meteorologist with the National Aviation Weather Advisory Unit (NAWAU), a part of the better known National Weather Service (NWS), a part of National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Hugh retired in 1994.
Hugh leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Carolyn, children Suzanne and Robb, brother Terry, and grandchildren, Kyler, Ryan, Gavin, Nicholas, Liam, Evan, & Sophia.
A celebration of life visitation for Hugh will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Friday, January 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
