

Jerry Keller, born July 22, 1949 in Kansas City, passed away on May 14, 2011 following a two-year battle with cancer. Jerry attended Southwest High school where he excelled as a student and an athlete. He was co-captain of the 1966 football team; a member of the all inter- scholastic league football team; a superb diver, placing in the league meet; lettered in wrestling; and played several years for St. John's Methodist 3&2 baseball team. Attending Broadway Methodist Church, Jerry was an active Boy Scout. He attended the University of Kansas where he was a member of Sigma Chi. Jerry will be remembered for his loving, generous, and tolerant attitude. He accepted everyone, and everyone liked Jerry. He is survived by his father and stepmother Charles W. and Marie Keller, his two brothers and their wives Charles W. and Carol Keller, Bill and Debbie Keller,and his companion of recent years Sonja Patton. He was preceded in death by his mother Sydney Ann (Jerrems) Keller. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18 at Mount Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
