

Florine W. Miller, 86, passed away on Monday evening, September 3, 2012. She was a resident of the Kansas City area for over 60 years. Florine was an exemplary wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her family was deeply felt to her final day. She served as a role model to all of her grandchildren and children encouraging them with positive reinforcement through each of their endeavors. Early in her career she was an executive with a number of cosmetic companies, including being a national sales manager for Avon. Florine was a pioneering female entrepreneur. She formed her own company, Florine, Inc., and marketed jewelry and other women’s products through fund raising programs with women’s organizations. She was an active member of the American Business Women’s Association and the General Federation of Women’s clubs. Florine was also a member of the Eastern Star arm of the Masonic Lodge and Unity Church of Overland Park. She was preceded in death by Paul V. Miller, her husband of 41 years. Florine is survived by her two children and their spouses, Jeff Miller and spouse Betsey Sanderson-Miller, Linda and spouse Tony DiFolco, all of Overland Park, KS. She is also survived by four grandchildren Raleigh Miller, Ethan Miller, Kelly DiFolco, and Christopher DiFolco, two sisters and four brothers.
