Irene Louise (Solomon) Quigley of Prairie Village KS passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Curé of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS with internment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will start at 9:00am, Rosary at 10:15am, and Mass at 10:30am.
Irene was born on December 4, 1926 to her parents, Paul and Clara Solomon in Marshall, MO. She has been a member of Curé of Ars Parish since 2000 and a member of St. Agnes Parish the prior 40 years. She had a very strong Catholic faith, attending Mass daily. She was devoted to the Blessed Mother and found great comfort in praying the Rosary. She was dedicated to raising her family in a strong Catholic home.
Irene was a member of the Ladies of Charity, Ursuline Associates, Legions of Mary, The Supper Club, and Johnson County Uno’s. During her working years she provided administrative support at several professional service firms and insurance companies. Irene is survived by son Timothy and Kathy Quigley, their three children Johanna, Julia and Breanna; and son Daniel and Nancy Quigley, their three children Sean (wife Brett), Paul, and Anastasia (husband Chris Kohlrus) and Irene’s four great grandchildren, Mirabelle, Lyndon, and Cassian Quigley, and Peter Kohlrus. Irene is also survived by three sisters, two brothers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Quigley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Curé of Ars Catholic Church and Grade School, and Ladies of Charity. Finally, we thank the staff at Mission Chateau Senior Living for the wonderful care and love they provided for Irene. They exceeded our expectations.
