Irene V. Smith, 92, of Archie, Missouri, passed away January 24, 2011. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service Friday, January 28, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, Missouri. Irene was born June 4, 1918 in Dawn, Missouri, daughter of Houston Grant and Bernice Ray (McDonald) Carr. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and Harold Trotter and Nancy and Merle Galeassi; grandchildren Wendy, Shane, Amber, Mark, Tony, Christina, Lisa and Dawn; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
