Irene Margaret Marie Wyrick, 84, passed away on August 1, 2022. She was born on July 31, 1938 in Milo, Missouri to her parents, Ralph Sherman Champ Jr. and Margaret Champ. Irene lived in the Kansas City area her entire life. She lived in Raytown and then moved to Pleasant Hill.
Irene was employed by Gay Gibson as a seamstress. She also ran a state-licensed daycare for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margaret Champ; sister, Alba Long; and daughter, Raeona Jean Wyrick (Williams).
Irene leaves to cherish her memories; her loving husband of over 60 years, David Ernest "Ernie" Wyrick; son, Christopher Sherman Wyrick; niece, Mary Payne of the home; 3 grandsons, 2 grand-daughters; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9-10 AM, service 10 AM, on Monday, August 8, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
